GOFAR Tyres is committed to supplying customers with quality products and providing fair and reasonable assistance where a product needs to be returned, exchanged or refunded.

This Returns & Refunds Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and is subject to applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

RETURN ELIGIBILITY

A tyre may generally be considered for return where:

  • The incorrect product was supplied by GOFAR Tyres.
  • The product received differs materially from the product ordered.
  • The tyre is damaged when supplied.
  • The tyre has a manufacturing defect.
  • An unused product qualifies for return under applicable consumer law.
  • GOFAR Tyres has approved the return in writing.

All returns are subject to inspection and verification.

UNUSED TYRES

Where a customer wishes to return a tyre that is not defective, the tyre must generally:

  • Be unused.
  • Not have been fitted to a vehicle.
  • Not have been driven on.
  • Not have been damaged.
  • Be in a saleable condition.
  • Have all original labels, stickers and markings intact where applicable.
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase.

GOFAR Tyres reserves the right to inspect the product before approving any refund or exchange.

FITTED OR USED TYRES

Tyres that have already been fitted, driven on, altered, damaged or used may not normally be returned for a change of mind.

This does not affect a customer’s rights where the tyre is defective, unsafe or otherwise covered by applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

Any tyre claimed to be defective after fitment may need to be inspected before a refund, replacement or warranty claim is approved.

INCORRECT PRODUCTS SUPPLIED

If GOFAR Tyres supplies an incorrect product, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where the error is confirmed to be ours, we will arrange an appropriate solution, which may include:

  • Replacement with the correct product.
  • Collection of the incorrect product.
  • Exchange.
  • Refund where appropriate.

The returned product must not be fitted or used after the customer becomes aware that it is incorrect.

CUSTOMER ORDERING THE INCORRECT SIZE

Customers are responsible for confirming the correct tyre size, specification and application before placing an order.

Tyre sizes are usually displayed on the sidewall of the existing tyre.

If you are uncertain about the correct tyre size, please contact GOFAR Tyres before completing your purchase.

Where a customer orders the incorrect tyre size and the tyre has not been fitted or used, GOFAR Tyres may consider an exchange or return subject to inspection, availability and applicable law.

Additional delivery or collection costs may apply where the incorrect product was ordered by the customer.

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED PRODUCTS

If you believe a tyre is defective or was supplied damaged, please contact GOFAR Tyres as soon as possible.

We may require:

  • Proof of purchase.
  • Photographs of the tyre.
  • The tyre size and product information.
  • Details of the alleged defect.
  • Vehicle information where relevant.
  • Inspection of the tyre.

The product may need to be returned for technical or supplier inspection.

A refund, replacement, repair or other remedy will be considered in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the claim.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTY CLAIMS

Certain tyres may be covered by a manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty.

Warranty claims may require inspection by GOFAR Tyres, the manufacturer, importer or supplier.

RETURN DELIVERY COSTS

Where a return results from an error by GOFAR Tyres or a verified defect, reasonable return transport arrangements will be handled in accordance with the circumstances of the claim and applicable law.

Where a customer ordered the incorrect item or requests a return for reasons not caused by GOFAR Tyres, the customer may be responsible for collection, courier or transport costs, subject to applicable consumer law.

Because tyres are large and heavy products, delivery and return transport costs can vary depending on tyre size, quantity and destination.

REFUNDS

Approved refunds will generally be made using an appropriate payment method.

Refund processing times may vary depending on:

  • The payment method used.
  • The customer’s bank.
  • The payment gateway.
  • Inspection requirements.
  • Supplier or warranty verification where applicable.

Where applicable, GOFAR Tyres will communicate the status of the refund to the customer.

EXCHANGES

Where an exchange is approved, it remains subject to stock availability.

If the replacement product has a different selling price:

An appropriate refund or account adjustment may be made where the replacement costs less.

The customer may be required to pay the difference where the replacement costs more.

SPECIAL ORDERS AND BULK ORDERS

Special-order, specially sourced, wholesale, fleet or bulk tyre purchases may be subject to specific return conditions.

Customers should confirm applicable return conditions before placing large or specially sourced orders.
